Stone Hill Pond

On Saturday January 21, 2023 a group of volunteers from TMAEG, braved sub-zero temperatures to tidy up around the Stone Hill pond.

The pond had its annual maintenance previously, with volunteers wading into the cold murky water to remove surface weed, fallen branches and discarded rubbish.

The surrounding fringes were cut-back and shrubs pruned to help them develop.

Litter was collected over a wider area and the borders of the footpath scraped back.

Debris including compacted decaying leaves were taken away to compost.
