Julian Vischer

Julian Vischer

Clerk

Julian became clerk in January 2013. This was his first post but he soon took on other small parishes in need of a part-time clerk, at one point covering 5 parishes. Now though, Julian has let go of them all except the one he started with, here in Abbey Hill.

Prior to that Julian had been a parish councillor for 19 years serving Bradwell Parish Council, where he lived, having moved to the city in 1981. His working career was in landscape contracting having been closely involved with the early development of Milton Keynes when the Development Corporation even ran their own plant nursery.

His administrative skills had been honed during a ten-year period working, part time, for Ofsted as a Lay Inspector of Schools, a national role sadly discontinued in 2005.
